Billing, Upgrade & Downgrade

Unused value becomes credit. On upgrade, credit reduces the new charge; on downgrade, remaining credit is converted into days on the lower plan.

Billing changes

Upgrade example

If Business has 15 days left, the unused value becomes credit. The Scale price for the new cycle is reduced by that credit before confirmation.

Downgrade example

If Scale has 20 days of remaining value, that credit is converted using the Business or Starter daily rate, so the new expiry can extend beyond 20 days.

Local testing uses this transparent calculation. In production, Paddle proration is authoritative and NexaFile shows a preview before confirmation.

Before-you-use checklist
