Does every employee need to sign in as an admin?
No. Employees sign in with their own Microsoft accounts. If the organization's policy requires administrator consent, a Microsoft Entra administrator reviews the app's requested permissions and decides whether to grant consent for the organization. Employees still access only SharePoint content their accounts are permitted to read. Some organizations additionally restrict who may use an app through user assignment.
Consent was granted, but the library is missing
Ask the SharePoint site owner to check access to the relevant site, library and folder. App consent and access to content are separate. An invitation to a NexaFile workspace does not grant access to another company's SharePoint files.
Four checks before importing a file
1. Open Cloud document sources, choose SharePoint and sign in with the Microsoft account that should have access.
2. If Microsoft asks for admin approval, send the app name and permission screen to your company's Microsoft administrator for review. Do not share an admin password.
3. If connection succeeds but the site or file is missing, ask the SharePoint site owner to check source permissions, then try again.
4. Select only the files needed and review the analysis before using it for business decisions.
See Microsoft's administrator consent guide. For personal OneDrive files, use the separate OneDrive connection on the cloud page. Explore NexaFile for teams for the wider document workflow.
